Make sure you know how to log in the “slow” way:

  1. Google “noodletools”
  2. Open the site
  3. Click Log In
  4. Scroll down and click Microsoft 365

Create A NoodleTools Project

How to Create a Project:

  1. Log in to NoodleTools
  2. Navigate to the Projects page
  3. Click the (+ New Project) button

Follow the instructions above to create a NoodleTools project for your research topic.

  • Choose a project title that will make sense a year from now
  • Choose MLA for the style unless you have a really specific reason not to.
    • Note for IB students: MLA is acceptable for all Extended Essay topics. MLA is also likely the style you are most familiar with. You should only choose a different style if your mentor or your teacher tells advises you to.
  • Choose “Advanced” for the citation level unless your teacher says otherwise.

Note that Noodletools sorts your projects into different pages by school year. If you wish to access a project created in a previous school year, use the menu at the top right of the projects page.
